Financial Controller

Vivacta is a rapidly expanding young company specialising in the development of innovative in vitro diagnostic devices to be used to speed up diagnosis and improve health care delivery at the point of care.  Vivacta is based in a new laboratory facility at the Kent Science Park, a countryside science campus with excellent staff sports and recreational facilities, in the heart of the "Garden of England" between Maidstone and Sittingbourne.

The position reports to the CEO, responsible for controlling all aspects of accounting function and compliance in line with accepted GAAP standards. The position plays a critical role in participating in the Executive Management Team.

We are seeking a candidate that is ready to take responsibility for the entire financial management of the business, and grow as the company grows. We are well invested by strong London and European Venture Capital firms, and the role will entail preparing financial reports on our progress. The candidate will be expected to manage banking function, IT, management accounts, audit and be involved in future funding activities. The company administrator who currently handles bookkeeping will report into the position.
