How Piezofilm detection works
- Piezofilm detection monitors the kinetic rate of binding of the target analyte to the piezofilm surface.
- Captures antibody on the film surface binds analyte and labels as a sandwich.
- Label binding is interrogated by flashing a bright LED. The label is selected to absorb light and convert it to heat. Label bound to the piezofilm causes a thermal perturbation in the film and a voltage proportional to the amount of label bound.
